Ukrainian National Guard, 28th Regiment of State Facilities Protection “Defenders of Chornobyl” Patch
The center of the emblem is the Ukrainian National symbol - the Tryzub - placed on the hilt of a sword. Trizub represents national identity, sovereignty, and independence, while the sword symbolizes strength, protection, and combat readiness.
Wings on either side of the sword signifies speed, mobility, and the defense of the airspace over the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. They also evoke the image of guardian angels, emphasizing protection.
Above the sword is an atom, symbolizing scientific progress, the peaceful use of nuclear energy, and the unit's role in securing this critical state facility.
